ABOUT NOVAWE

NOVAWE IS A MEMBER ORGANIZATION WITH A MISSION TO PROMOTE WORKING EQUITATION IN NORTHERN VIRGINIA

At the end of 2018, I (Elizabeth “Biddie” Lowry) started a Facebook community to help grow interest in the sport of Working Equitation in Northern Virginia and the surrounding area.  What started as my desire to help share information about this amazing sport among my friends has grown, to a 650 plus strong community of Facebook friends. Over the last two years I have worked with others and have coordinated and produced numerous clinics, play days and schooling shows in and around Northern Virginia.  We have all learned so much, improved our Working Equitation (WE) skills, and had incredible amounts of fun in the process.

This is only the beginning.  My behind the scenes partner Diane Hutchinson and I have joined with Laura Guillaudeu to formalize the NOVAWE organization into a member club.  Debbie Meade and Kellie Lawrence joined for 2020 and Nancy Wilochka joined as a board member for 2021.

Our member community is friendly and growing.  We offer/coordinate: Intro to Obstacles,  Play Days, Lessons (Dressage and Obstacle), Clinics and Shows.  You and your horse will have a blast.

Check out our Calendar of Events to learn what’s coming soon.

If you or your barn want to give it a try, contact us [email protected]  We love to help you get a WE introduction.

NOVAWE is a Affiliate Organization (AO) of USA Working Equitation (USAWE) our national working equitation organization.  We hope you will consider also supporting and joining USAWE.
