Saturday, February 27, 2021: 10am-12pm – Groundwork I – Introduction to groundwork based on feel and timing to increase connection with your horse. Respect of personal space, interacting with finesse; conceptual and practical understanding of pressure and release. Goal is to learn several exercises to increase awareness between horse and rider and to learn how to help your horse with relaxation techniques. You will leave with homework to practice for the next session. *If you have a rope halter, bring it. Please don’t buy anything new as we will cover what to look for in an ideal rope halter. Knot placement and weight of rope matters and we have several rope halters here you can borrow or try and are available to purchase. Limit 10 participants.
Cost for series (all 4 lessons/9 hours) : NOVAWE Members $250, non-members $280
*This includes indoor arena fees.
* Note this special introductory price for first time participants.
*Please note each lesson builds upon the skills learned in the previous sessions.
